Fertilizer-use Efficiency Of Ammonium Polyphosphate on different crops

Polyphosphate- based fertilizers are worldwide used especially in American, and their effect on crop yield is often reported to be better than orthophosphate. Overall, the polyphosphate is different from orthophosphate in chemical property and fertilizer efficiency, because of the slow-release and chelate ability. As the phosphate industry leader, Chanhen is committed to the study of new phosphate for 15 years, to supply the better phosphate nutrition for animals and crops. Ammonium polyphosphate is the latest product we have developed for many years. It is solid and the total nutrient content is 78%.  It's fertilizer-use efficiency is researched in different crops.

Ⅰ.Pepper Pot Experiment

1.Materials and methods

Pot experiments were carried out in 400 square meters of greenhouse. A factorial experiment with two P fertilizers and four P levels were conducted. Every treatment were designed with equal N and K levels, with three replicates in a completely randomized design.

2. Results

Ø  Ammonium polyphosphate can gradually increasing the content of the available P in the soil, because polyphosphate can slowly hydrolyze to orthophosphate.

Ø  Ammonium polyphosphate application can increase P concentration in root compared to Ammonium phosphate.

Ⅱ.Peach field experiment

1. Materials and methods

Peach field experiment was carried out in 0.2 hectares with 6treatments. Compared with the ammonium phosphate, The experiment of polyphosphate with five P levels was conducted. Every treatment was designed with equal N and K levels, with three replicates total 15 three years old trees in a completely randomized design.

2.Results

Ø  The ammonium polyphosphate(T1) have the positive effect on the tree growth compared with ammonium phosphate(T0).

Ø  After the application of ammonium polyphosphate(P2O5)decreased by 70%(T4), there was no effect on the growth of peach tree. It means that the availability of ammonium polyphosphate(APP) increased by three times as compared with MAP.
